The Middle School campus has five portable buildings that are not in good shape. The Intermediate and Elementary campus have extra classrooms, so it makes sense both for financial reasons and safety reasons to make some changes. Next year third graders will be taught at the Elementary Campus, the Intermediate will have 4th - 6th grade. Most of the portables will leave CMS and the campus will teach 7th and 8th only.
Sixth graders will get a different schedule than fifth graders do now and it will allow them to select electives of art or band. Parents and students will be given elective information in meetings during May.
