District of Innovation
Passed in the 84th Legislative Session, House Bill 1842 allows school districts the opportunity to build flexibility into their operations and planning processes, including certain exemptions from provisions of the Texas Education Code.
On October 23, 2017, the Caldwell ISD Board of Trustees appointed the task of the District Education Improvement Council to study the possibility of becoming a District of Innovation and take advantage of the flexibility in operations to become an even better school district.
