Career and Technology Courses

Caldwell ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are designed as an introduction for students to a variety of career options. Through the application of knowledge learned across all coursework, focus is placed on developing skills necessary to be successful in post-secondary and entry level environments.  CTE classes employ project-based-learning strategies and are typically held in a lab-setting.  

 

Programs of study are offered in areas such as Agriculture, Health Science, Business and Industry, Construction Trades, Welding and Information Technology.

Caldwell ISD offers career and technical education programs in welding, agricultural sciences, health sciences, business, information technology, construction trades, and education. Admission to these programs is based on student interest and the ability of the district to offer courses. It is the policy of Caldwell ISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or handicap in its vocational programs, services or activities as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. It is the policy of Caldwell ISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, handicap, or age in its employment practices as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. Caldwell ISD will take steps to assure that lack of English language skills will not be a barrier to admission and participation in all educational and vocational programs.
