Tuition Based Pre-K OVERVIEW
PURPOSE:
Pre-K for All is a tuition based program to provide public prekindergarten for children, age 4 on or before September 1, 2025, in Caldwell ISD that do not meet the federal program requirements for prekindergarten eligibility. Children participating in Pre-K for All will be provided high quality instruction that prepares them for Kindergarten.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
All tuition based students will be served in general education classrooms with students that qualify based on federal requirements.
All Prekindergarten teachers are certified.
Students will participate in a full day program from 7:50 to 3:30. The instructional day includes academic instruction, circle time, centers, lunch, rest, and specials (PE, computer, music, library, etc).
Prekindergarten classes follow the CISD calendar.
Breakfast and lunch can be brought from home or purchased through the cafeteria.
Students are eligible for transportation via Caldwell ISD buses.
The first tuition payment will be due August 15, 2025.
CURRICULUM & ASSESSMENT:
The Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines guide instruction. The guidelines are aligned to the Kindergarten level Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and designed to prepare students for learning in Kindergarten.
Prekindergarten teachers utilize the Ready to Advance curriculum by Benchmark Education. Activities from CIRCLE are included in the daily instructional routine.
Student progress is monitored through CLI Engage CIRCLE Progress monitoring three times per year. Parents have online access through CLI Engage to monitor their childโs progress as well as access to activities.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
Students must be 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2025.
Students must be current on all immunizations.
Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis.
If your child is chosen to be included in Pre-K for All and you fail to register your student during new student registration, your childโs seat will be forfeited for the 2025-2026 school year.
Students should not display consistent disruptive behavior that would interfere with instruction and the safety of other students and staff. Students are expected to comply with the Caldwell ISD Student Code of Conduct and will be disciplined in accordance with the document.
Compulsory attendance laws will apply. Once a student enrolls in Caldwell ISD they are expected to attend. Students missing more than 10 days in a semester will be dismissed from the program. Students that are consistently tardy will also be dismissed.
