Coin Toss

Caldwell ISD welcomed a very special guest back home during this yearโ€™s Homecoming festivities as Stephina (Navratil) DiDonato, a member of the Caldwell High School Class of 1951, returned to Hornet Stadium for Friday nightโ€™s game.

DiDonatoโ€™s visit brought together generations of Caldwell students and families and provided a special connection to the districtโ€™s history. As part of the evening, she was invited onto the field before kickoff for the honorary coin toss โ€” and proudly did the honors herself.

More than 75 years after her days as a Caldwell student, DiDonatoโ€™s return was a reminder that the connections formed in our schools can last a lifetime.

The evening also included a special tribute in recognition of September 11, with Caldwell ISD bands and dance teams joining together on the field for a performance of the National Anthem.

From welcoming back a member of the Class of 1951 to watching todayโ€™s students perform and compete, the evening was a fitting celebration of the generations who have been part of Caldwell ISD.

We were honored to welcome Stephina back to Caldwell and make her part of this yearโ€™s Homecoming celebration.
