She was nominated by one of her teachers who says that Kamila "consistently goes above and beyond in the classroom, always stepping in to help her teachers and classmates without ever being asked. As kind as she is bright, she approaches every day with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to make her classroom a better place. Kamila never fails to give her very best effort, and her thoughtfulness and dedication shine through in everything she does. I am so grateful I get to play a small part in Kamila's Hornet story."

She was nominated by a coworker who says Mrs. Pavlas "shows incredible dedication, work ethic, and heart for students. She consistently goes above and beyond, pouring an extraordinary amount of time, energy, and care into everything she does. It is clear in every interaction that she truly loves her students and is deeply passionate about her work. What makes her efforts even more impressive is that this is her first year teaching in functional academics, yet you would never know it. Her skill, confidence, and natural ability to connect with students are truly remarkable. She is not only an outstanding educator but also a positive, dependable colleague. Mrs. Pavlas is an amazing teacher and a true asset to our elementary school. Most of all, she has a heart of gold, and our students and staff are better because of her."
