🚶‍♂️🏛️ Our 3rd graders took learning beyond the classroom today with a 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗱𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹! From the 𝗖𝘇𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 to the 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗗𝗣𝗦, 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲, students got a firsthand look at the people and places that help make our community special. Last week, our young mathematicians added a little 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 to their learning! ❤️ For 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘦’𝘴 𝘋𝘢𝘺 𝙈𝘼𝙏𝙃, they used hearts instead of number bonds to compose and decompose numbers within 10. Then, they took it a step further by covering part of the numbers and challenging their partners to figure out how many were hidden. This event provided valuable opportunities for professional development, collaboration, and new strategies to support our students.
