💗 October is 𝑃𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑂𝑢𝑡 𝑀𝑜𝑛𝑡ℎ at Caldwell ISD, and our Hornets are showing their support for a cause that touches so many. Both our 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 and 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 are selling Pink Out shirts, with proceeds going to support breast cancer awareness.

🏃‍♀️ Our Hornet Cross Country teams showed grit and determination at the Brenham Hillacious meet this past weekend!

🌟 Junior High highlights:
– Ava Ruiz 🥇 1st place in the 7th grade girls division
– Dakoda Clark 8th place finish
– Brooke Brymer (7th) & Ajriana (8th) both Top 15 out of 100+ runners

💪 High School Hornets battled a hilly course and tough competition, with several athletes placing in the Top 30 out of 100–200 runners!

🚨 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝗮𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁

Under 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝟭𝟮, parents must now provide written consent each school year before schools can:
✅ Provide health services through the school nurse
✅ Provide mental health-related (counseling) services
✅ Allow participation in school-based clubs or organizations

This week’s Caldwell Hornets vs. Robinson Rockets game will kick off at 𝟳:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 on Friday, September 5, at Rocket Field (500 W. Lyndale Ave., Robinson, TX). 𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙡𝙚.

🎨✨ Kindergarten creativity meets High School leadership! Our youngest Hornets had fun making colorful handprint art, with a special assist from our High School Helpers—seniors in the Practicum of Education course. These future educators spend part of their school day helping in classrooms across our primary campuses, making a big difference for our students.

She was nominated by her coach, who says, "While traveling with her teammates to cheer camp, Greenlee made a lasting impression (which was shared on social media) on a community member at Buc-ee’s. After he accidentally dropped his food, Greenlee quickly stepped in to help, showing kindness, respect, and maturity beyond her years. Her thoughtful actions reflect the values of Caldwell ISD and remind us how even small gestures can make a big difference."

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Hornet pride was on full display at the 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 this past Saturday at Davidson Creek Park! Junior high, JV, and varsity teams all represented Caldwell with heart, determination, and several top-3 finishes in their divisions. Way to go, Hornets!

🍴 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 provided a delicious Chick-fil-A breakfast for staff across multiple campuses.
✏️ 𝗦𝘁. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆’𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 donated school supplies to support our students.

These are just two recent examples of the countless ways our community partners give back to Caldwell ISD. We are truly thankful for your continued support!

🌽 Our Principles of Agriculture students had a tasty introduction to FFA with a “𝙏𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙖 𝘽𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙊𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙁𝙁𝘼” activity! Students made trail mix where each ingredient represented a different part of FFA, giving them a hands-on (and delicious!) way to learn about the opportunities the organization offers. 🌾
