Hello! My name is Chase Owen! I am currently the Theatre Teacher and Director for both the High School and Junior High campuses here at Caldwell ISD. The goal for our program is to build a strong Theatre company, and provide a class/activity that students can thrive, have fun, feel safe, and can unlock their creative potential.

I was raised in a small town in the woods of southeast Texas by the name of Woodville. After leaving Woodville, I moved to pursue my undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. I completed my student teaching with master teacher Gem White at Woodville High School. During that time we were able to take our U.I.L. One-Act Play to the state competition and placed 5th in the 3A conference. I was honored to make history at WHS for the school's first state UIL OAP state appearance. With this degree I began teaching 6-12 Theatre. I have taught in Goose Creek ISD, Westwood ISD, and now here at Caldwell ISD. The last two years I have been working on learning and growing more by going back to school myself. In August 2022, I will graduate with a Master of Arts degree in Theatre from Texas A&M Commerce.

In my free time I love to play video games, relax at home, drink coffee, or watch more live Theatre. I am lucky that I have a job that is a hobby that I love: theatre is a part of my life at work and away from work. I have a 6 year old dog named Marlowe, who is a mini-schnauzer and like my son.

I am excited to have an amazing year creating incredible art with the talented students of Caldwell ISD.
